REMONDIS Recycling GmbH & Co. KG has acquired all shares of Pakufol Folienprodukte GmbH, Depner Vermögensverwaltung GmbH & Co. KG, and Depner Verwaltungs GmbH by 1st January 2018. The plastics recycling of PE-LD products enables REMONDIS Recycling to achieve vertical integration along the entire value chain which reflects REMONDIS' extensive further developments and constant efforts towards 100% plastics recycling.
Low-Density Polythene (in short: PE-LD) is the largest material stream of the whole plastic waste volume in Germany. The extension of REMONDIS' portfolio by reprocessing and production of this plastic type is an important diversification. Subsidiaries of REMONDIS Recycling, like RE Plano GmbH or REMONDIS PET Recycling GmbH, do already demonstrate high expertise in reprocessing of different plastics, especially in production of enhanced-quality recycled materials in form of flakes, regranulates and compounds. REMONDIS used to supply other reprocessors worldwide with PE-LD film. "In the future, REMONDIS will reprocess these plastics, and produce bags with 100% recycled content", explained Ralf Mandelatz, Managing Director of REMONDIS Recycling.
Pakufol is one of the leading manufacturers of plastic bags in Germany and has more than 30 years of experience. Pakufol products are certified with the Blue Angel, the ecolabel of the Federal Government of Germany.
